Australia have dominated the series quite well by giving no chance to Pakistanis. This is the only chance for the Pakistan to get a little self respect for the team but that is still doubtful looking to the current performance of the team. Aussies has completely washed off the Pakistanis and this is the last match of the series. Australia have some strong fast bowlers to choose from, with Ryan Harris, Mitchell Johnson, Shaun Tait and Dirk Nannes jostling for three spots. There is also competition at the top of the order with Shane Watson, Shaun Marsh and David Warner all preferring to walk out first.

Australia have lost both times they have faced Pakistan in Twenty20s. Shoaib Malik and Kamran Akmal have played 27 T20 internationals, four behind the leader Brendon McCullum, while Australia’s most experienced men are Michael Clarke and Nathan Bracken, who is not in the squad, on 19. Australia haven’t completed a T20 game since their first-round exit at the World Twenty20 in June. Their two games against England in September were wash outs. The battle for number one status in test cricket will start on Feb 6, 2010 at Nagpur. South Africa being number 2 test team as in ICC Rankings would definitely wants to capture the position once again. India became the number one test team replacing the Proteas.

The Indian cricket team is not looking in good shape as their prime players are injured and would miss the test series. The biggest blow for team India is the absence of Rahul Dravid who got injured playing against the Bangladesh. VVS Laxman also not fully recovered from the finger injury and the swash bulking batsman Yuvraj Singh also out of the team due to wrist injury. Not only in batting department, India have problems in bowling department too. Sreesanth is injured and India still have problems in playing with quality spinner. The off spinner from Punjab, Harbhajan Singh is not in good form and the other two spinners (Ojha & Mishra) don’t have much experience.

South Africa has come with full strength team but they still don’t have a quality spinner. How well their spinners performed in the recent match against Board President XI would have definitely given them a headache. Well Proteas have always depended on their fast bowlers to win matches for them but playing against India in India without a good spinner would surely concern them big time.
